Campaign will work towards increasing consumer consumption of Ontario produced goat cheese.
GUELPH, March 24, 2011 — It is an exciting time to be involved with the dairy goat industry. At the Ontario Goat Annual General Meeting on April 8th, Ontario Goat, the collective voice for Ontario’s goat producers, will announce the details of its first consumer marketing campaign targeted at promoting and increasing consumption of Ontario produced goat cheese.
Jennifer Haley, executive director of Ontario Goat, credits the overwhelming support of the industry and strong producer and processor partnerships for getting this initiative off the ground. “This campaign marks the beginning of a collective and collaborative voice for the Ontario Goat industry,” said Haley adding that “it is a significant milestone for Ontario’s dairy goat industry.”
Haley promises that at the meeting the marketing plan will be revealed and a new logo unveiled. She encourages those interested in learning more about the plans for the new consumer campaign to attend the Ontario Goat Annual General Meeting at the Ancaster Fairgrounds on Friday April 8, 2011.
